Description
Diesel particulate filter (DPF) is an auxiliary component of the exhaust system which is used for trapping hard particles (ash) appearing during combustion. Diesel engines emit a large amount of ash, formed during incomplete fuel combustion. These little particles are extremely hazardous for people and the environment. The disadvantage of such filters is the fact that they are clogged each 600-1000 km of the mileage that is why they should be cleaned and recovered from time to time. The recovery means that unburnt ash particles burn in the filter at a very high temperature (650 C). Such temperature is achieved when the engine operates at high speeds for a long time (passive regeneration). Due to the tough urban traffic (traffic jams) and short engine operation time, the required temperature (650 C) cannot be achieved and particles of ash cannot burn and clog the DPF. Filter clogging leads to reduced circulation of exhaust gases and loss of engine power which is accompanied by increased fuel consumption. To solve this issue, auto owners can use the special product of the German company: SCT – MANNOL DPF Cleaner 9994. Adding this product in the fuel tank significantly reduces the ash combustion temperature (as low as 450 C) and prevents the possibility of DPF clogging. This additive also lets reduce diesel fuel consumption and optimize engine performance. Even if the DPF indicator is not glowing, MANNOL DPF Cleaner can be used as a preventive measure. It efficiently and quickly cleans and recovers the clogged DPF, not requiring its disassembly. It provides efficient engine performance. Low viscosity helps reduce fuel consumption. It can be used together with the in-built regeneration system. It prevents expensive and frequent maintenance connected with manual regeneration of the clogged particulate filter.
