Description
Cylinder Block Seal is used to eliminate cracks in the cylinder block without disassembly. Properties: It forms a hard glass-like layer under the air impact. It polymerizes within 30 minutes. It is resistant to high pressure, temperature and vibration. It does not clog pipes. It does not restore gaskets (such as a gasket of a cylinder block head). Application: Internal and external cracks of the cylinder block which can lead to water penetration into the oil system or the combustion chamber. In case of heavy white exhaust. In case of emulsion or water in the lubrication system. Instructions: Preventive measure. Replace the used coolant by water, add Cooling System Flush (W45944) and let the engine run within 15 minutes. Drain the mixture and flush the cooling system with water. Pour water into the cooling system again. Remove the upper pipe of the radiator and the thermostat. Thoroughly shake the can of the Cylinder Block Seal before application; warm up the can in case of low temperatures. Pour one can of Cylinder Block Seal into the fixing hole of the thermostat (325 ml for 8 liters). Replace the removed components and install them on their places (the thermostat is not replaced). Pour water to the necessary level and warm up the engine. After the engine is warmed up, let it run within 15 - 20 minutes and check the water temperature. Stop the engine. After the engine has cooled down, drain water fully. Pour the coolant in (anti-freeze + water). Replace the thermostat. Cracks in the cylinder walls. Repeat the same procedure (p.1), unscrew the ignition plug (gasoline engine) or the injector (diesel engine) from the damaged cylinder. If several cylinders are damaged, unscrew the plugs/injectors successively with a 5-minute interval. Big cracks. Repeat the same procedure (p.1), pour the Cylinder Block Seal into the cooling system 3 - 4 days prior to the coolant change. If the sealant drops on the glass or painted surface, immediately wash it off with water. Use Cooling System Stop Leak (W45644) sealant to prevent leaks of the coolant from the radiator. IMPORTANT: Cylinder Block Seal is not compatible with a coolant. It should be added in water. It is forbidden to pour the sealant directly into the oil or the cylinders.
