Description
When mixed with a respective amount of water, GLACELF CLASSIC anti-freeze turns into a coolant recommended for all the cooling systems of internal combustion engines. In accordance with French Decree # 95-326 dd March 20 1995 regarding distribution of the main products containing mono-ethylene-glycol, GLACELF CLASSIC anti-freeze comprises additives providing it with a bitter taste to prevent accidental swallowing by children or adults. GLACELF CLASSIC is an excellent combination of quality and price. Before using GLACELF CLASSIC, it should be diluted with distillated water (< 8F) which results in a long-lasting coolant which ensures engine protection against freezing or overheating and can be used all the year round independent on the season. To get a well-mixed coolant, it is recommended to mix the anti-freeze with water mechanically. Protection against freezing depends on the proportion of GLACELF CLASSIC and water. The recommended change interval: each year. All anti-freezes and coolants based on mono-ethylene-glycol are referred to special industrial wastes and must be disposed in permitted places. In gasoline and diesel engines, from 30 to 40% of heat formed during combustion does not convert into driving power and must be dissipated. The cooling system of the engine must be capable of eliminating this excessive heat considering the thickness of the cooling system walls. The fluid cools down various engine parts by transferring heat and leaving it in the radiator. If the excessive heat is not removed, a few minutes of engine operation without the coolant is enough for the seizure of the piston rings and the formation of cracks in the cylinder head. GLACELF CLASSIC has successfully passed the corrosion tests required by the standards: testing the plate by heating and testing glass items for chemical destruction. The additives contained in GLACELF CLASSIC anti-freeze inform the coolant about the reserve of alkalinity (to neutralize combustion products), reduction of foaming (mainly, reduction of stability of possible foam) and chemical neutrality (pH 7 – 8.5). The coolant made by dilution of GLACELF CLASSIC anti-freeze is compatible with elastomers of seals and paints during continuous contact.
