LUBE FR 5W-40 is a modern high-performance synthetic oil for diesel and gasoline engines. APPLICATION. Modern high-performance synthetic oil for diesel and gasoline engines. Specially designed for modern engines of French cars: • PSA PEUGEOT CITROEN gasoline and diesel engines without particulate filters, except the models requiring the oils with SAE xxW-30 viscosity or PSA B71 2290 standard. • Gasoline (with and without turbocharging) and diesel (without particulate filters, as well as 2.2 DCi engine with a DPF) engines produced by RENAULT-NISSAN. It is also recommended for use in the following engines: • BMW: gasoline engines with the extended service interval (LONGLIFE-01/LONGLIFE-98) and diesel engines without particulate filters. • GENERAL MOTORS (OPEL, DAEWOO, CHEVROLET, ISUZU): diesel engines requiring the oils meeting GM-LL-B025 • MERCEDES-BENZ: gasoline engines requiring the oils meeting MB 229.3 approval and diesel engines without particulate filters. • VOLKSWAGEN: gasoline and diesel (except diesel engines with pump-injector units and particulate filters) engines before 2007 production year with the standard service interval (15000 km) requiring the oils meeting VW 502.00/505.00 approvals. • PORSCHE: gasoline and diesel engines, except those requiring the oils complying with PORSCHE C30 approval. It can be also used in the engines of other manufacturers where the oils meeting ACEA A3/B4, ACEA A3/B3, and/or API SN/CF, API SM/CF, SL/CF in the viscosity grade SAE 5W-40 are required.
