Description
8100 X-MAX 0W-40 IS 100% SYNTHETIC MOTOR OIL FOR GASOLINE AND DIESEL ENGINES. High-performance 100% synthetic motor oil. It is made by the Sulfated ash, phosphorus, sulfur technology (Full SAPS). It is specially developed for high-power gasoline and diesel engines of the latest generation, including those with a turbocharger and direct injection. It is approved by auto makers and can be used in the warranty autos. It is intended for the engines operating on any fuel type: gasoline, diesel, LPG. It is compatible with the catalytic converter. If necessary, read your auto owner’s manual before the oil application. Features. The BMW Long Life-01 approval imposes the stringent restrictions for the lubricants connected with Valvetronic system. These requirements refer to all BMW engines starting from 2001 and it also covers the BMW LL-98 requirements. From 2004, BMW vehicles require an approved BMW LL-04 product, e.g.: MOTUL Specific LL-04 5W-40, MOTUL 8100 X-clean 5W-40, MOTUL 8100 X-clean 5W-30, and MOTUL 8100 X-clean+ 5W-30. BMW LL-01 standard meets also the requirements of all gasoline engines, running outside European Union countries, Switzerland, Norway and Liechtenstein. Refer to BMW recommendations when in doubt. The MB 229.5 standard is more stringent than MB 229.3 in terms of oil ageing and oil film resistance (in case of the extended drain interval set by the on-board computer); advanced detergent and dispersive capabilities (ACEA B4) and fuel economy 1.7% compared with the oils of 15W-40 viscosity grade. The MB 229.5 specification covers all MERCEDES gasoline engines, including AMG (5W-40 viscosity grade), except SLR, and all MERCEDES diesel engines without the DPF. The Porsche A40 standard requires extreme high shear resistance from the lubricant. This specification applies to all PORSCHE engines, except Cayenne V6 and Diesel versions (for these specific engines, use an approved Porsche C30 lubricant, such as MOTUL 8100 X-clean+ 5W-30). MOTUL 8100 X-max 0W-40 meets all these very demanding requirements of performance and durability set by OEMs, as well as the latest level of the international standard API SN. The API SN standard requires from the lubricant outstanding detergent and dispersant properties, a better viscosity resistance against deposits, high lubricating and anti-wear properties, high thermal and oxidation stability, reduced oil consumption and perfect engine protection over the oil drain interval. The viscosity grade SAE 0W-40 minimizes oil hydrodynamic friction, allowing fuel economy especially when oil is cold. It improves oil flow at engine start-up, ensures faster oil pressure build-up, faster rev raisings and faster operating temperature reach. Environment friendly: this type of oil allows fuel consumption reduction and therefore minimizes greenhouse gas (CO2) emissions. Numerous OEMs such as NISSAN, JAGUAR, LAND-ROVER… recommend using a lubricant with 0W-40 viscosity grade and at least API SM for most of their sport vehicles like for example the NISSAN GT-R, 370Z, 350Z,… MOTUL 8100 X-max 0W-40 formulation is the perfect balance between fuel economy and efficient engine protection (high HTHS viscosity > 3.5 mPa.s). Recommendations. It is changed according to the recommendations of auto makers. It can be mixed with mineral and synthetic oils. Read your auto owner’s manual before using the oil.
