Description
It is made in Germany based on the mineral base oil with a special additive package. It is specially designed for the engines of autos operating on natural gas, both liquefied petroleum (propane-butane mixture) and compressed (methane) gas. When the engine operated on the natural gas, the exhaust gases contain a big amount of water vapor and nitrogen oxide. At the same time, the temperature in the combustion chamber is higher than in gasoline engines. It comprises a special low-ash additive package which prevents formation of high-temperature deposits, is resistant to water intrusion and impact of the nitrogen oxide. It reliably protects the engine in extremely severe operation conditions, including when driving in the city Start-Stop mode. The viscosity range enables to use the oil all the year around. It is intended for use in modern multi-valve engines with hydraulic lash adjusters (including turbocharged) operating on natural gas. RAVENOL MGS 15W-40 f?r Erdgasmotoren motor oil meets the following specifications: API SL/CF; SAE15W40; ACEA A3-02; ACEA B3-98 edition 2; Volvo LPG/CNG; RVI RGD. It is officially tested and approved by: MB226.9; MAN M3271. Application. It ensures: high demulsifying resistance to water vapor; increased resistance to nitrogen oxide; failure-free engine start in extreme low temperatures; prevention of soot and lacquer formation which interferes with heat removal from the pistons and mobile piston rings; neutralization of the acids forming during fuel burning; stable oil film on the protected from wear parts in any extreme temperatures and operation modes of the engine; cooling of the pistons, bearings of the crankshaft and other engine parts due to the excellent thermal conductivity; prevention of gas escape in the crankcase by sealing the piston rings and making them mobile; work with all types of catalysts.
